H. E. Solvita Āboltiņa made positive comments on the active progresses achieved in the bilateral relations between Latvia and China. Especially, she had high opinion on the important role played by the contacts and exchanges between the leadership and two legislative bodies of both countries, and wished to make new contributions to further enhance the bilateral relations within her tenure. Ambassador Hu conveyed the greetings from H. E. Mr. Wu Bangguo, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China to H. E. Solvita Āboltiņa, and commented that the exchanges between the two legislative bodies of China and Latvia forms an very important part of the bilateral relations of our two countries, and the Chinese side will continuously devoted to promoting the further enhancement of the exchanges and cooperation in various fields between the National People's Congress and the Saeima of Latvia. Both sides also exchanged views on the further development of the comprehensive relations of friendship and cooperation between China and Latvia.
