From September 12th to 13th, Chinese Ambassador to Latvia H.E. Mr. Tang Songgen was invited to visit Liepaja, the third largest city in Latvia, and South Kurzeme. He had meetings and discussions with Mr. Gunars Ansins, Mayor of Liepaja and Mr. Aivars Priedols, Mayor of South Kurzeme, visited the Liepaja Special Economic Zone (LSEZ), schools, museums, historical sites, and incubation centers in Liepaja and South Kurzeme.
Mayor Mr. Gunars Ansins and Mayor Mr. Aivars Priedols expressed their warm welcome to Ambassador Tang and his team, and looked forward to cooperation at municipal level with China.
The two sides had friendly exchanges on deepening practical cooperation in the fields of economy and trade, logistics, tourism, culture, education, technological innovation, green development and others.
